St. Marks Church Wedding – Suzy & Matt - Lindsey Drewes Photography

It’s not everyday you get to photograph an actually Disney princess, but I got to! And I am SO stoked to be blogging this epic wedding that took place at St. Marks in Los Olivos, CA.

Meeting Suzy and Matt was a pure pleasure. They are a true salt of the earth family and couple. Suzy used to be a Disney Princess and you can see why. She’s tall, blonde, slender and could easily see her playing Cinderella or Rapunzel.

Since both Matt and Suzy already had kids, they called the new Brady Bunch PG7 (Matt’s last name is Pawlak, and Suzy’s last name Geckler). I thought that was pretty creative of them and I loved the sentiment! The kids seem to have a great time, especially when Suzy’s daughters saw her for the the first time in her wedding gown. A Kodak moment, for sure.

Los Olivios is the epitome of a small town. Perfect for a small town church wedding, which is exactly what Matt and Suzy were looking for. It’s kind of a stark contrast to their big time careers, which is what makes this couple so unique. Matt is a big time golf promoter and Suzy is an entertainment lawyer for guess who – Disney!

The reception was a special experience as well – the lights illuminating the St. Marks Los Olivos church courtyard was great, especially the father/daughter dance for Suzy as they cut up the dance floor to Kenny Roger’s “The Gambler”.
