For todays interior designer spotlight I will be talking about the one and only Casey Mason.  I met Casey through Instagram.  Like many others who follow her I saw her work and instantly fell in love. I love her easy-going beach inspired design aesthetic.

Being able to photograph her home that she designed was absolute dream.  My favorite part of her design included her use of plants, textures, and thrifted items.  I also loved how resourceful she is throughout her designs using thrifted and found objects.  She truly makes them as good as new and you wouldn’t even be able to tell as it all looks very high end.

As I showed up for the day of the shoot I wondered how the day would go.

Casey was nine months pregnant and was expecting her baby girl at any moment. Before the shoot I told her that we could reschedule however she was adamant about getting the shoot finished.  This was the last loose end that needed to be accomplished before launching into the joyful time that is motherhood.  Accomplishing this would give her the relaxed spirit that she needed to go into this new chapter of her life.

As we spent a couple hours together laughing and getting to know each other, I photographed her home and I was in heaven and all of its beauty.

About a week later her baby was born and I am so thrilled to be able to capture their a new home and cannot wait to work with you again Casey!
