Christina and Andrew - Kimpton Canary Santa Barbara Wedding

It is no doubt that I absolutely love intimate Sunday weddings in Santa Barbara! And Christina and Andrews wedding was no different. Held on the rooftop of the Kimpton Canary Hotel in beautiful downtown Santa Barbara their intimate wedding was a sight to hold! Surrounded by their closest friends and family Christina and Andrew shared their love for one another and were wed.

There are SO many reasons why I loved Christina’s and Andrews love story.

Including the fact that they fell in love over COFFEE! And if you know me I am a sucker for a good cup of coffee! They met while working for Starbucks and ultimately Christina’s charm won Andrews heart and they fell deeply madly in love.

Fast forward to a few years later and you have one of the most beautiful weddings I have had the pleasure of photographing.

I’ve said it before that Santa Barbara is one of the most beautiful places to be married along the central coast and I will go a step further this time and say that a Kimpton Canary Wedding is even more beautiful.

With gorgeous views of the American Riviera and the Pacific Ocean, the Canary rooftop terrace is the perfect spot to be married.

I love seeing when a bride and groom choose to invest the time into creating a wedding that is unique to them, their story, and their values. Like when Christina chose for her mother, an excellent seamstress, to sew together her tablecloths because Christina fell head over heels for a specific linen. Or when Christina, her mother, her sister (matron of honor) and the brides childhood best friend (bridesmaid) spent the evening prior to the wedding creating incredible beautiful florals because it would not only save them money but would allow them to have hours of solid quality time together. It is the thoughtfulness that goes into the small details like this that I absolutely love. When couples invest the time to make sure that their wedding comes together just as they imagined it.
