Y’all I am obsessed with this wedding I photographed awhile back at the Gerry Ranch in Camarillo, CA. Gerry Ranch is a 40+ acre working fruit farm growing blueberries, lemons, oranges, and avocados and sets the most gorgeous background for a wedding. Disclaimer for you all I am SO love with this wedding and there may be a lot of photos in this blog post. So get ready.
When I had my first consultation with Christina she shared with me that she just desired to have an elegant and timeless wedding. Beautiful in it’s simplicity and in her choice venue. And that is exactly what it was. Christina wore a gorgeous wedding dress paired with a cathedral veil and looked absolutely stunning. Fair Tail hair and makeup put the finishing touches on her look she was exactly what she envisioned. Her elegant and timeless beauty was encapsulating. Of course Steven didn’t look too bad himself.
There are SO many things I love about Christina and Steven including their chosen career paths and how they serve their communities in their own unique ways. As a football coach for USC Steven helps develop young men to be a have extraordinary character on and off the field. As a police women Christina serves and protects the City of Santa Barbara often putting herself at risk to aid in helping others. Their selflessness, character, and devotion makes them perfect for one another and I was so honored to be chosen as their wedding day photographer.
As the day started you could tell that Christina was a bit nervous. But not like a normal bride who wears their nervousness it on her sleeve. She had a look about her that gave her away, to me at least as I am not sure if anyone else saw it how I did. She had a look that I had seen before when I worked alongside her at the Police Department. (I was a 911 dispatcher in a former life). A look of determination and hopefulness. Hopefulness that everything would go off flawlessly just as she had planned. Which it totally did!
Speaking of how wonderfully the day unfolded. I was completely blown away by the Gerry Ranch staff! Their organization and professionalism make them a team that any bride would love to have on her wedding day. They helped tremendously in making everything go off splendidly as Christina’s day unfolded just as she had envisioned it.
As the day came to an end I once again could not have been more humbled and grateful to photograph Christina’s and Steven’s wedding at Gerry Ranch. And so without further adieu congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. Murrillo! May your days be filled with love, laughter and A LOT of USC football games! Go Trojans!
