Santa Barbara Greek Orthodox Church Wedding – Ellen and Alex

September 3, 2019

Ellen and Alex’s Santa Barbara Wedding and reception at the Unitarian Society Church and the Santa Barbara Greek Orthodox Church was a site to behold!

If you recall I recently blogged Ellen and Alex’s engagement session. It is with great pleasure that I now blog their entire wedding day!

I first met Ellen through our jobs in Community Development Department of the City of Santa Barbara.  As a city planner, Ellen, of course would choose some of the most venues featuring the gorgeous Spanish and Mediteranian architecture unique to this area.  Between the ceremony that was held at the gorgeous Unitarian Society Church and the reception at the Greek Orthodox Church I knew going into this wedding it would be absolutely stunning.

The thing that struck me the most about Ellen and Alex was how evident their love for one another was.

Their love was most evident to me because of how they played together. It’s always so inspiring to see couples playful flirtatiousness even after years of being together!

Ellen and Alex’s biggest desire was to spend time with their friends and family and so majority of photos were taken before the ceremony.  As a person who values quality time with my friends and family as well, I love when my couples do this because it makes the day go so much smoother.  It also allows you to really enjoy the whole day that you’ve worked so hard to create.  Surrounded by friends and family, Ellen and Alex were married inside the beautiful Unitarian Society Church.

After the ceremony a wonderful cocktail hour was hosted by Pure Joy Catering at the Greek Orthodox Church. One of my favorite moments was the genuine and heartfelt toasts given by Ellen and Alex’s parents, siblings and friends.

We finished the day with a glorious Santa Barbara Wedding day sunset.

My biggest congratulations to Ellen and Alex! I wish you both a world of joy, love and laughter!
