K'Syrah Wedding - Megan & Ryan - Lindsey Drewes Photography

For my last wedding of 2019 I had the pleasure of capturing Megan and Ryan’s K’Syrah Wedding and it honestly was nothing short of spectacular.

If you know me I have a love of small intimate weddings and this one was just that. Small, intimate and simply perfect. I first met Megan while working for the Santa Barbara Police Department.

The thing that struck me most about her then was how kind Megan is.

In a career in which people could so easily become jaded, she is a person who really sees the best in people and acts with poise at all times. She is a truly remarkable human being. And so as you could imagine when she asked me to photograph her K’Syrah wedding I was thrilled.

The December day could not have been more magical or perfect. Surrounded by their 40 closest family and friends Megan and Ryan were married at the gorgeous K’Syrah. The day was planned to perfection by Alegria Event Group and the gorgeous florals were created by Tracey at Ella & Louie.

The most touching thing about Megan and Ryan’s wedding was witnessing the depth of the love of a father. Pretty deep I know but hear me out.

As you view this gallery not only will you see Ryan’s adorable daughter and see his love for her, but you will see Megan’s father. A man who truly embodies strength and love. Megan’s father has been fighting terminal cancer. And while Megan and her family did everything to get him to the wedding, on the days leading up to the wedding the sickness began to become worse. BUT he triumphantly fought to be there and to walk Megan down the aisle. Honestly, it was the most beautiful moment of my entire year. And a was a true testimony of the power and strength that coincides with the love of a father. It was the absolute best way to end the year and the decade. Simply Perfect.
