Wheat Ridge Kitchen Remodel with J. Designs Inc.

January 17, 2019

To photograph this gorgeous Wheat Ridge Kitchen Remodel I partnered with an old friend of mine, Jamie Nusser of J. Designs Inc.  I met Jamie over 12 years ago while we both were in architecture school at the University of Colorado.  Go BUFFS! Clearly we were kindred spirits as we quickly became close friends.  We spent countless hours working on our design studio projects together and studying for exams.  I was drawn to her free spirited attitude and her tremendous drive.

Through the years we learned a lot about ourselves, each other and who we wanted to become when we grew up.  Fast forward to today and I have the absolute pleasure to travel to Colorado regularly to visit her and photograph for her Interior Design company, J. Designs Inc.  Our lives look different than what we imagined 12 years ago but in reality this is really what was meant to be all along.  We’ve both found passions and careers that are directly related to architecture.

For this kitchen remodel, Jamie started off with a dated 1960’s ranch house in Wheat Ridge Colorado. Working with a small space, Jamie’s clients knew they wanted white cabinets and an open floor plan to create a more livable space.  With that direction, Jamie brought in this amazing tile backsplash, black fixtures and hardware.  She extended the wood flooring and created an amazing breakfast bar.  This combination of design elements created a kitchen that is fresh, lively, and beautiful. Kitchen Remodel in Wheat Ridge Colorado

She completely knocked it out of the park and I could not be more proud of my dear friend Jamie Nusser. You my friend are a rock star!

With gratitude,

Lindsey
