Pines at Genesee - Jordan and Kevin - Lindsey Drewes Photography

Three weeks ago I have the absolute privilege of capturing my dear friends wedding to Kevin at the Pines of Genesee in Golden, Colorado. And today I could not be more excited to share all about how the day unfolded!

Jordan and I met over 12 years ago when we started college at the University of Colorado (GO BUFFS!). We met through Young Life and both became Wyld Life leaders for the next three years while attending school.

When Jordan asked me to photograph her wedding, of course I was elated! And so on a beautiful day as the summer began to turn into fall in the mountains of Colorado, I captured her spectacular union to Kevin at the Pines of Genesee.

As the day unfolded I was overjoyed to see how Kevin and Jordan were absolutely perfect for each other because of their love of God first and foremost and then their deep love for all those around them. From when I first showed up to find that the hair stylist was Jordans Wyld Life girl from over 12 years ago. (Talk about a lasting relationship!) To the toasts by the best man explaining how Kevin has always been there for him through good and hard times, it was entirely evident that Jordan and Kevin were made for eachother.

Throughout the course of the day I was overtaken by the beauty of Colorado all over again. And it was no surprise to many when chose to marry in the mountains of Colorado. Since Jordan and Kevin met in the mountains, Kevin proposed in the mountains and it only makes sense that the two would be married in the mountains.

I was also incredibly amazed at how helpful the bridal party was! They seriously were the most helpful bridal party I have ever worked with! As the day got off to a bit of a late start much of the timeline became off track however with the flexibility of the bride and groom and the extremely helpful bridal party we were able to catch up by the start of the reception and I am elated with the photos we captured of this beautiful day!
