A couple weeks back I had the absolute pleasure of photographing Esmeralda and Oscar’s beautiful wedding at the Santa Barbara Woman’s Club.
Oscar and Esmeralda first met when Oscar’s church from LA came to visit Esmeralda’s sister church in Santa Barbara. That is when Esmeralda first met Oscar. While they did not connect that day many things eventually led to them connecting and starting a friendship that grew into a relationship. Qualities that lured them to one another included how outgoing Esmeralda is and how she can make friends with any person. And his willingness to help others regardless of how big or small the task may be. Which I can surely atest to when Oscar took it upon himself to help the staff at the Woman’s club stack chairs at the end of his wedding day. Without a doubt he is a stand up guy. And she is one of the kindest brides I’ve ever had. They were surely meant for one another!
Their wedding day was simply beautiful. From their sweet ceremony that showcased their love for one another and their combined love for the Lord, to the reception covered the most beautiful florals. Everything was perfect. Some of my favorite moments included when a groomsman shouted “do it for the gram,” during the bridesmaid portraits and they happily obliged. Another favorite moment was simply seeing how much joy Oscar and Esmeralda had as they lovingly greeted each guest. As if that single person was their favorite person on earth and nothing else mattered but the person standing before them. This in and of itself was a huge testament to their faith and love of Christ.
As I left Oscar and Esmeralda’s Santa Barbara Woman’s Club wedding I couldn’t help but be overjoyed, to have been able to spend such a remarkable day with them both. Celebrating their love for the Lord, and one another. And celebrating the wonderful future that lies in store for them both. Congratulations my dear friends!
